Members present- Nicole French, Kim Duitsman, Angie Propp, Bill Burns, John Larson, Frank Orsella, Stacie Penn, Tony Schwartz, Amy Brown, Jack Buckley, Michele Willard, Craig Waldron, Herb Lohse, Ted Lillie, Dan Rude, Larry Eberhard, and Patty Kamas.
Welcome new Board Members – Jasper Berg, Kim Duitsman, Nicole French, and Angie Propp
City of Oakdale – presented by Craig Waldron
Proposed tax levy approved – the 2010 proposed levy and tax rate was approved by City Council on September 8th.
New Web Page Preview – community walk is a mapping website in conjunction with the city website, online community information with interactive maps.
Family fun Inflatables – this event is free for people of all ages. Saturday September 26 from 9-5 pm at Walton park.
Lillie’s readers choice awards – the city honored with the following categories: Mayor Carmen Sarrack – best local politician, Oakdale Parks – best of taxpayer’s money. Farmer’s Market – best place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Richard Walton Park – best place for a family picnic.
Treasurer’s report - John Larson – checking account balance - $15,564 and money market balance - $9,811.
Gold Plate 2010 Team – Nicole French will chair next year’s Gold Plate. She is looking for helpers – looking to firm up a date for 2nd week in February.
HHH – John Larson requested $6000 for this year’s HHH program. Tony Schwartz seconded it. The board approved.
We allowed discussion to donate more to HHH as funds become available upon collection of dues.
RBOC Debrief – Ted Lillie – overall attendance was down considerably with only 110 people. We discussed the reasons for low attendance.
Yellow Ribbon Update – Marc Cove announced we will begin our small group meetings next month. He reviewed the best practices with us.
Political Engagement update – our proposal of our process was reviewed and Amy Brown motioned to continue with our committee meetings to follow this process as these issues arise, Marc Cove seconded it. The motion was passed.
By-Laws revision discussion – will review further with the attorney on the board to determine areas we need to follow more closely.

Guest Speaker – October’s speaker is Jerene Mortenson, Speech titled: “Three Cups of Tea” a mother’s perspective.
