Members present- Nicole French, Kim Duitsman, John Larson, Frank Orsella, Stacie Penn, Tony Schwartz, Amy Brown, Ric Pace, Jasper Berg, Herb Lohse, Ted Lillie, Dan Rude, Larry Eberhard, and Patty Kamas.
City of Oakdale
Family Fun ‘Flatables Event – 2000 people estimated to attend – wonderful event
NAIOP Study – Councilmember Reinke is working on a study on local city budgeting. Oakdale is going to be used as one of the models.
Touch a Truck – held on September 15th was also a success with approximately 400 adults and children that attended.
Home Fair – looking at a potential date of March 13th, 2010 and possibly combining with N. St Paul.
Gold Plate 2010 Team – Nicole French will chair next year’s Gold Plate. She is looking for helpers – The date of the event is Thursday, February 11th, 2010. She is in special need of help with sponsorship and silent auction.
HHH – John Larson requested $6000 for this year’s HHH program. Tony Schwartz seconded it. The board approved.
We allowed discussion to donate more to HHH as funds become available upon collection of dues.
Political Engagement update – we reviewed the letter from Mayor Carmen Sarrack. We discussed the concerns and agreed to move forward with our process to engage in key issues that affect our business members.
By-Laws revision discussion – Jasper Berg informed us that he is working on the filing of our articles of incorporation and the bylaws with the State of MN. We need to reference Chapter 317a for non-profit business law to be our guide for the future of our organization.

Guest Speaker – November’s speaker - Twila Brace – Health Care – Where are we now and where are we going?
Adjourn – The meeting was adjourned at 1: 19.
