Members present- Amy Brown, Herb Lohse, Patty Kamas, Craig Waldron, Mark Cove, Dan Rudd, Larry Eberhard, Jack Burke, Bill Burns, Ric Pace, Frank Orsello, John Larson , Michele Willard, Jodi Christensen, Bill Burns, Tony Schwartz, Ted Lillie and Jack Buckley.

City Update - Craig Waldron reported even lower tax rate increase than was previously expected. Only expected to be a $7 increase per household. Ted Bearth and Discovery Center Receive major honors. "Award of Excellence" for the Discovery Center and "Volunteer of the Year for Ted Bearth.

Oakdale Citizen's Academy is starting soon. Beginning February 2009 the city will be launching it's first ever Citizen Academy. The event will feature five evening classes where participants are given an inside look at all aspects of their city government. The 4th annual home Fair is set for March 28th.

Treasurer Report - Jack Burke reports checking balance $ 23,256 and money market $ 4806.

School Update - Marc Cove reports updates on tax statements that went out and update on bonds.

Board Christmas Party - Friday December 5th at Wildwood Lodge.

Beyond Yellow Ribbon - There was much discussion about what role OBPA will play in this very important initiative to help the struggling military personnel and their families. There was a motion to move forward to have further discussion on how OBPA will be helping/hosting this initiative.

HHH update - We have 91 families with around 400 kids we are helping this year. We are ahead of schedule and December 13th is the big day for drop off and delivery. John invited everyone to stop by to see this wonderful event.

Constitution and Bylaws - adding new members - we are postponing adding any new members to the board at this time.

Marketing update - Tony Schwartz reported we will have a cable TV show about OBPA to get the word out about our history and what we do. This will allow us to use segments of this program for marketing our association with respect to fund raising, website and just overall awareness.

Membership Survey - there was much discussion about the survey - we felt it needed to be shorter and should cut out any evaluation of the meeting rooms.

Committee Reports:

In 60 seconds - Jack Buckley has 1 spot open for January

Guest Speaker - Frank Orsello reported Tartan singers will be at the December General meeting.

Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 1: 00

The next General Meeting is December 4th at the Wildwood Lodge at 11:15

The Next Board Meeting is December 18th at the Wingate Inn at 11:30
