Members present- Nicole French, Kim Duitsman, John Larson, Frank Orsella, Stacie Penn, Tony Schwartz, Amy Brown, Ric Pace, Herb Lohse, Ted Lillie, Dan Rude, Larry Eberhard, Michele Willard, Craig Waldron, Marc Cove, Rick Timm, Jack Buckley, Jack Burke, Rich McNamara, Angie Propp, and Patty Kamas.
City of Oakdale- Craig Waldron reports about the recent 3M PFC and water quality article in the Star Tribune. The city continues to closely monitor the situation and the MN Dept of Health has indicated that Oakdale’s water is fit to drink.
· There is continued negotiations on the Oakdale Mall
· Project 3/50 – the Oakdale City Council endorsed the project and the partnership between the OBPA Board and the City.
· Stimulus Allocation for Energy Upgrades
· Ryland Homes at Red Oak Preserve
Gold Plate 2010 Team – Nicole French reports the theme is Under The Big Top on February 11th. Still looking for volunteers to help with silent auction.
HHH – John Larson – reports due to an increase in outside donations they have been able to request more families.
OBPA Board Christmas Party will be held at the Wildwood on December 12th.
Meeting locations and dates – Kim Duitsman presented 2010 dates and locations – Marc Cove motioned to cancel the September meeting and to have a larger turnout at the Regional meeting. Larry Eberhard seconded it. All agreed.
I-94 Corridor Commission - Rich McNamara offered to represent Oakdale on this important initiative.
Winter Wonderland – Marc Cove handed out fliers for the event. December 19th from 9-1. Looking forward to another huge turnout.
Scholarships – Stacy Penn asked if the OBPA would sponsor five scholarships for 2010. Michele Willard motioned, Tony Schwartz seconded it and all accepted.
Committee Reports:
In 60 seconds – Jack Buckley said he is full for December. Contact him if you are interested in January openings.
Guest Speaker - Frank Orsella scheduled The Tartan High School Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Tracie Hanson will present a program of Holiday Music.
Treasurer – Jack Burke – reported our taxes are complete. They are available for any Board member to review. OBPA has about $35K in savings with $8K in accounts receivables.
Adjourn – The meeting was adjourned at 1: 15.
