Members present- Bill Burns, Nicole French, John Larson, Frank Orsella, Tony Schwartz, Amy Brown, Ric Pace, Herb Lohse, Ted Lillie, Dan Rude, Larry Eberhard, Michele Willard, Rick Timm, Jack Buckley , Angie Propp, Marc Cove, Jasper Berg and Patty Kamas
New Business
Email blast frequency – Dan Rude – we had much discussion about when and how to handle requests. The bottom line is we need to get requests to Dan much earlier. He will follow the guidelines when requests come in. If there is enough time he will include them in the monthly email.
Partner wording – Jasper Berg – as a follow up to the email, do not refer to the OBPA partnering with other organizations.
Tartan Golf Team – a request came in to allow time at the General meeting to have the Golf Team ask for sponsorship and support. We decided to allow thi to be part of the school update.
Committee reports
Gold Plate final numbers – Nicole French – We raised $14,742 from the Gold Plate Dinner. Due to a competing opportunity, Nicole is stepping down from as the Gold Plate Dinner Chairperson. We congratulated Nicole for all her efforts in making this year’s Gold Plate Dinner such a huge success.
Networking – Tony Schwartz – he updated us to another event coming up at the end of May. We are working with the Wildwood for the next event as they were so accommodating for the first one.
Membership - Bill Burns stated we have 210 people and 184 memberships.
Treasurer – Jack Burke was not in attendance so no update was given.
In 60 seconds – Jack Buckley has two spots open for next month.
Civic Event & promotions – Ted Lillie – directories are here.
30/50 Project – John Larson updated this initiative is losing a bit of momentum and encouraged us to ask our favorite businesses to join in the 30/50 project.
Political Engagement – Amy Brown updated group that our next meeting is April 13th at 12:00. Location to be announced.
Yellow Ribbon – Marc let the board know that he was be holding a Beyond Yellow Ribbon meeting on April 13th at Platinum Bank at 11:00. He is very excited about the opportunity to utilize the Greater Rivers Boy Scout to help man some of the activities and benefits.
Bill Sullivan – Oakdale Police Department will speak for a few minutes on the details of the audit.
Guest Speaker – Frank announced the March speaker is Joe Goggin – “Searching for the Missing in Action WWII”
The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
