Members present- Bill Burns, Nicole French, Kim Duitsman, John Larson, Frank Orsella, Stacie Penn, Tony Schwartz, Amy Brown, Ric Pace, Herb Lohse, Ted Lillie, Dan Rude, Larry Eberhard, Michele Willard, Craig Waldron, Rick Timm, Jack Buckley , Angie Propp, Marc Cove and Patty Kamas.
City of Oakdale-
· Purchase Agreement with the Oakdale Mall – the City is extremely pleased to announce that after nearly two years of weekly negotiations, the purchase agreement has been signed. Closing is anticipated in July and the City is working diligently to move the redevelopment process along.
· Emerald Ash Borer – the city has been selected to receive a $30K grant to enable us to triple our efforts in managing the Emerald Ash Borer.
· New Well – 3M and the City have begun construction on the new well in Goodwin Park on 40th Street with completion slated for late spring.
· Property Tax Statements – we hope your property tax statement looked pretty good. The City Council passed the 2010 Budget on December 8th. Looking to recognize a 0% impact on the average homeowner. The budget is also 5% less than 2009.
· 30/50 Project Update – John Larson spoke before the EDC at their December meeting. The EDC concurred with the City Councils direction to support this project in the community.
Gold Plate 2010 Team – Nicole French reports the theme is Under The Big Top on February 4th. Still looking for volunteers to help with silent auction. Get your wine donation to her sooner than later. Please rally your friends and encourage local business owners to participate.
501c3- Jack Buckley volunteered Brent Rolling from his firm to oversee our 501C3. Tony Schwartz motioned to designate $750 to get the ball rolling, Bill Burns seconded it, It passed the committee.
Winter Wonderland – Marc Cove – Biggest single OBPA event ever! Great turn out and some discussion on how to move forward next year.
Committee Reports:
In 60 seconds – Jack Buckley said he has one for February. Contact him if you are interested in the opening.
Guest Speaker - Frank Orsella reports that Toastmaster will likely be our speaker.
Membership – reviewed and updated the list.
Treasurer – 22,355 in checking, Transferred $9811 to Money Market. Set aside $2300 for next year’s holiday helping hands.
