Members present- Amy Brown, Herb Lohse, Patty Kamas, Mark Cove, Dan Rudd, Larry Eberhard, Jack Burke, Bill Burns, Ric Pace, John Larson , Michele Willard, Jodi Christensen, Bill Burns, and Jack Buckley.
Treasurer Report - Jack Burke reports checking balance $20,135 and money market $4813
School Update - Marc Cove reports that the school board portion of the property tax estimate is going to be reduced by 26%.
Gold Plate Update - Ric Pace and Michele Willard report the date is February 5th, 2009 with a theme of "At the Hop". They need help selling tickets. They report the invitations will go out after New Year. We will need to bring a bottle of wine to our next meeting.
Beyond Yellow Ribbon - Marc Cove will take charge of this newly proposed initiative to help the area military families. There was a motion to move forward to have further discussion on how OBPA will be helping/hosting this initiative with another meeting in January. See Marc Cove if you are interested in helping.
HHH update - We have helped 93 families with around 400 kids this year. John asked if the additional funds could be carried over to 2009 to act as a reserve in case next year we have additional requests. More discussion will follow.
Membership Survey - there was much discussion about the survey - It was geared specifically toward discovering the audiences view of our speakers. There will be additional discussion in small group and then will be distributed to the members.
Lillie News Progress Report and Directory - Dan Rudd motioned to discuss our decision to run this progress again this year. Ric Pace seconded it. We all agreed in favor to run this Lillie News Progress Report. We will get a group photo at the January 8th meeting.
